Spring Clean Up
</title>

<link>http://www.bcmuseumofmining.org/whatsnew.asp#251</link>
<description>
The Mill building has had it's new facelift. Come out and help make our Site look as good.

This year we really need many volunteer hands to come out and help us get ready for our main operating season. We have been under construction with new roadwork, utilities upgrade and the Mill building rehabilitation and there are more chores than usual.

This is a fun event and we promise you a great BBQ Lunch. A few volunteer hours from you makes a world of difference to the Museum's operating budget. You can feel good that you are helping the Museum move forward!

You can paint, garden, build, landscape, sort, clean windows. The list is long and there will be something to your liking.

Families are welcome to come out as we try and find appropriate chores for all levels. Please RSVP to Lynn at 1-800-896-4044. or send email to lynn@bcmuseumofmining.org

BC Museum of Mining’s Summer Arts Series
</title>

<link>http://www.bcmuseumofmining.org/whatsnew.asp#296</link>
<description>

 This summer, the heat is on at the BC Museum of Mining as we invite visitors to experience our unique SUMMER ARTS SERIES. Between now and September, the museum will host exciting arts and heritage events that highlight the creative and inspirational influences of mining.

Although mining and the arts may seem like an unlikely combination, the reality is that mining helps to provide many of the tools and instruments needed for creativity - from the metal in guitar strings to the minerals in art paints. This series is designed to help visitors make the connections.
