We offer discounted rates and personal tours for groups of 15 or more - so you get your own tour, for less money! If your group is less than 15, you are welcome to join one of our public tours, charged at the normal admission rates.

Payment & Pricing
Payment is made on arrival for the final numbers on your group. We accept Visa, Mastercard, cash or cheque. Cheques should be made payable to the BC Museum of Mining.
Prices and programs are subject to change without notice. We are a non-profit organization and keep our admission rates as low as possible, especially for schools. Therefore, coupons and other promotions may not be used with group rates. The Museum reserves the right to administer the school travel subsidies as deemed appropriate.
Bookings
It is very important that groups show up on time as other groups may be booked right after your group. Please inform us if numbers in your group have changed so we can adjust our scheduling accordingly. Group leaders should allow enough time for washroom and snack breaks prior to the start of their tours.
For non-school bookings, especially for a smaller group, we may ask you in advance if you object to public visitors coming with you on your tour. In our shoulder season when we have fewer tour guides, this allows us to meet the needs of our non-group visitors better.
Group Size
Your group must be more than 15 paying admissions to qualify for the group-discounted rate. If your actual numbers are lower than our minimum group size of 15 paid admissions, you will be charged for 15 people at the discounted rate, or for your actual numbers at full rate, whichever is cheaper.
Cancellation
If YOU need to change or cancel your booking:
If you need to change your booking, just give us a call. As long as your amendment doesn't clash with another booking and we have at least 3 working days (Monday - Friday) notice, we should be able to accommodate your change in circumstances. If there is a clash, or if notice is short, we will discuss options with you to try to find the best alternative.
If you need to cancel your booking altogether, we require 3 working days (Monday - Friday) advance notice, preferably in writing. Without proper notice of cancellation, you will be charged a minimum flat rate of $120 to cover costs associated with your booking.
If WE need to change or cancel your booking:
In the event of unlikely, but unforeseen operational issues at either the Museum or the EPCOR water treatment plant, where a tour would pose a risk to visitors, staff or property/equipment, Museum Management and EPCOR staff reserve the right to cancel tours at any time. Should this happen, your booking fee will be waived or refunded. Neither EPCOR nor BCMM will be responsible for any costs incurred by the group/school.
